最初に聴こえた時、「猫の大群？」と思いました。 青森の県鳥、白鳥🦢の群れが頭上を飛んでいく音です。 クワァクワァと遠くから聴こえてくる鳴き声を初めて耳にした時、 本当に猫の大群かと耳を疑いました。 今では、この声が聴こえると「くるぞ！」と家を飛び出して、 空を見上げてスマホを取り出します。 （家の中に居ても聴こえるほどの音） 多い時は、空を縦横無尽に飛び交う群れが見えます。 それはまるで、大恐竜時代にタイムリープしてしまったかのよう。 重たそうな体を必死にバサバサと羽ばたかせて飛んでいく姿に、 「頑張れよ」と応援してしまう自分がいます。 そして「またねー」と挨拶を。 死ぬまでに一度は体験してほしい、青森の風物詩です。 --- The first time I heard them, I honestly thought it was a flock of cats. It was actually swans 🦢 — the symbolic bird of Aomori — flying overhead. When I first heard their distant cries, I couldn't believe my ears. Now, whenever I hear it, I run out of the house, look up at the sky, and reach for my phone. (The sound is loud enough to hear even from inside.) When the sky is full of them, flocks fly in every direction. It feels like time-leaping into the age of dinosaurs. Heavy bodies flapping desperately — I find myself cheering them on, then waving "see you later."
