散歩していたら、目の前を大きな鳥が悠々とさんぽしている姿に遭遇しました。 これ、たぶんキジ（雉）です。 キジは日本の国鳥。 1947年に日本鳥学会が国鳥として指定し、それ以来「日本を象徴する鳥」として親しまれています。 オスの羽毛は緑・青・赤の鮮やかな色で、目の周りの赤い肉垂れが特徴。 これだけ近くで野生のキジを見られるのは、青森ならではかもしれません。 もし違っていたら、有識者の方コメントで教えてください！ 「ずっと見てられるシリーズ」は東北の自然・動物が織りなす、時を忘れる風景集。 --- While walking, I encountered a large bird casually strolling ahead of me. This is most likely a Japanese Green Pheasant (キジ / Kiji). Fun fact: The Green Pheasant is recognized as Japan's national bird, designated by the Ornithological Society of Japan in 1947. Males display stunning green, blue, and red plumage, with distinctive red wattles around their eyes. To spot one this close in the wild is something special — only in rural Aomori.
