This dance is called Gozen Enburi. In other words, the opening act of Enburi was performed in front of Gozen = the lord of the castle. Nowadays, the lord would be the mayor. This is why the dance is held in front of Hachinohe City Hall. I was just in time to see the dance and recorded it. Unfortunately, it was recorded from the side with my smartphone, and it was shot vertically, so it may be difficult to see. We hope you enjoy the video as part of our precious archives. Hachinohe Enburi, one of the nation's important intangible folk cultural assets, is a local performing art to pray for a good harvest to bring the arrival of spring to the Hachinohe region of Aomori Prefecture. Its name is said to be derived from "eburi" or "iburi", a farming tool used to plow the fields into level ground. It is said to be a ritual to wake up the "god of rice fields" from his slumber and put his soul into the "rice fields". The best part of the Enburi is the unique dance of the dancers called Tayuu, who wear gorgeous eboshi hats on their heads that represent the heads of horses and shake their heads widely. The dance represents the series of actions involved in rice cultivation, such as sowing seeds and planting rice. In between the TAYUU dance dances, children performed cute tricks and dances to entertain the audience. Originally, this dance was a remnant of the enburi dance performed in front of the lord. Today, instead of the lord, seven groups of enburi dancers perform the enburi dance in front of the mayor of Hachinohe and his officials on a yearly basis. The public is also welcome to watch. 御前えんぶり。つまり、えんぶりのオープニングアクトは、御前＝城主であるお殿様の前で行われていた。 今の殿は、市長ということになる。 そのため、八戸市庁前での舞になっているそうです。 ちょうどいい時間に、間に合い、その舞の姿を録画しました。 残念ながら、真横からの、スマホ撮りですし、縦撮りなので、見えにくいと思われますが、とっさに映したモノです。ご了承くださいませ。 貴重なアーカイブのひとつとして、ご覧いただけましたら、幸いです。 ▼ 国の重要無形民俗文化財「八戸えんぶり」は、八戸地方に春を呼ぶ豊年祈願の郷土芸能。その名は田をならす農具「えぶり」や、「いぶり」（ゆすぶり）に由来すると言われ、冬の間眠っている田の神をゆさぶり起こし、田に魂を込める儀式とされています。 　えんぶりの一番の見どころは、太夫（たゆう）と呼ばれる舞手が、馬の頭をかたどった華やかな烏帽子（えぼし）を被り、頭を大きく振る独特の舞。その舞は、稲作の一連の動作である、種まきや田植えなどの動作を表現したものです。 　太夫の舞の合間には、子どもたちによる可愛らしい祝福芸が披露され、見る者を楽しませてくれます。 御前えんぶり 　もともとは殿様の御前（ごぜん）で舞ったえんぶりの名残として、八戸市長はじめ関係者の前で、７組のえんぶり組が年番制でえんぶり摺りを披露します。一般の方も鑑賞できます。 （出典: [https://hachinohe-kanko.com/10stories/hachinohe-enburi]） #青森 #エンブリ #郷土芸能
